20/02/2012 - G-Cloud framework launches ‘the CloudStore’ online catalogue

The UK Government has been working to make the purchasing of public sector ICT as simple and transparent as possible and has just launched CloudStore; an online catalogue. It lists over 1,700 information and communications services and contains details of each of the related suppliers.

15/02/2012 - Atos create Canopy for the cloud

Primary stakeholder Atos plans to create a new company branded as ‘Canopy’ to provide a one-stop shop for cloud services. EMC and VMware technologies will underpin a range of cloud solutions for governments and enterprises and will be based on open standards. Both organisations intend to invest alongside Atos to drive innovation and promote Canopy’s offerings to the market.
